what's on offer
The teachers very own personal way of teaching each individual class. Each class involves movement, breath, mindful, relaxation, energy + fun. Suitable for all levels.
This is a 60 minute sequence, designed by Studio 38 which allows complete beginners to become familiar with the practice + intermediates to advanced to re-visit foundational postures + fine-tune alignment + go deeper + explore variations if they wish. We focus on both asana (posture) + pranayama (breath) with each teacher bringing their knowledge + personal touch to the class, allowing students to consistently develop, progress + explore.
Exactly what it says on the tin, it's hot + its yoga, expect to get sweaty. This is one of our most popular classes, the style of yoga is personal choice in that of the teacher.
A class focusing on a set series of postures including sun salutations, a standing sequence, a seated sequence + a finishing sequence.
Rocket Yoga was designed by Larry Schultz who combined the first, second + third series of Astanga Yoga to create this fun, fast paced, explorative sequence. Each Rocket class encourages play + offers modifications of traditional poses. The Rocket practice encourages a smooth unbroken rhythm of breath + movement, + as it may appear to be a very physical practice it is actually leading us on a path of self-realisation. The Rocket, as the name indicates, gets you there faster. We do not recommend this class for complete beginners.
Restorative yoga is suitable for practitioners of all levels. By definition, it is restful practice that holds yoga poses for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, + bolsters. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasises the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body + mind. Through the use of props for support, many of the postures are held almost effortlessly. When the body enters a state of relaxation the mind can also consciously relax as tension is released from both body + mind. The only work that's required on your part during a restorative yoga practice is to pay attention to your breath + become aware of any sensations or thoughts that may arise.
It’s yoga for the next generation. In our classes each child is encouraged to move freely, in ways that they feel is right for them, + to be themselves within the group. Classes are non-competitive, non-judgmental + inclusive of all additional needs. Everyone is encouraged to join in, but it’s also okay for children to rest at any point + re-join when they feel ready. Our classes are engaging, mindful, stimulating, energetic + calming giving children a fun yet beneficial experience throughout. These classes are aimed at children aged 4-11. To book, please visit our events page. We also run an adult class in Studio 2 at the same time meaning you’ve got the option to have an yoga class yourself!
